World’s Largest Pearl
A fisherman in Palawan, Philippines discovered a giant pearl and thought it was a giant clam. He kept the massive pearl as his lucky charm and kept it under his bed for 10 years without realizing its worth. But when he had to move to another province, he entrusted his lucky charm to his aunt. Knowing the real value of the pearl, his aunt convinced him to turn over the treasure to the city government, in which he agreed. The 34-kg pearl is estimated to be worth $100 million.
