Cookies are undeniably one of our favorite go-to munchies. More so if they are freshly baked from the oven. However, not everyone is fond of the meticulous baking procedure, not to mention the cleaning up and dishwashing that come after. Thankfully, ready-to-bake cookie doughs now exist, with the ones from Pillsbury topping our list. Sure, chocolate chip cookies remain to be an all-time classic. However, we just couldn’t help but get all giddy over the brand’s new and improved Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie Dough.
Yes, you’ve read that right! The cookie dough variant is back with new packaging. Instagram user @candyhunting was among the first to share a photo of Pillsbury’s latest offering on shelves. According to the post, one of their followers, @msbritt1474, spotted it at a Woodman’s store.

In case you’ve missed it, the Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie Dough variant first hit the stores early last year

As with any other Pillsbury ready-to-bake cookie dough packs, this improved variant includes precut cookie dough pieces. As such, this significantly cuts down your prep time by half or even more! So, all that’s left for you to do is place the cookie dough pieces on a greased cookie sheet. Afterward, you can proceed to pop them into the oven to bake.
But unlike most Pillsbury cookie dough packs that give you 24 pieces, this one gives you 12 giant pieces. Also, the new pack now comes with a “safe to eat raw” seal. So, on the off chance that you don’t have an oven at home or are simply lazy to prep a cookie sheet, then you can proceed to eat it as it is.
Apparently, the returning variant is not the only one bearing the “safe to eat raw seal.” In another post featuring the Chocolate Chunk and Chip Cookie Dough variant, @candyhunting detailed the brand’s formulation update.

Well, this is certainly good news for all cookie (dough) lovers out there! In terms of pricing, we’re guessing it’s about the same as its previous version which retailed for $5 for two packs. Sadly, it remains to be a limited edition offering as indicated on the packaging. So, that gives you all the more reason to hunt for it on your next grocery run!
